Jumbo Resigns !!!

Amidst all the crisis going on in the Indian Cricket Camp, what has come as a shocker is the resignation of Chief Coach Anil Kumble. Though a tussle has been going on for sometime now, there were speculations that Kumble's term would be extended till the 2019 World Cup.

Kumble did not accompany the Indian team to the West Indies for a limited-overs series starting June 23, citing his commitment to an ICC meeting. According to a certain section, BCCI was in favour of extending Kumble's contract earlier, but Kohli was not comfortable with the idea of working with Kumble on a long term basis and preferred Shastri instead.
