India Football Tour is back; Know how you can be a part of the Football Fives World Cup 2018,Beijing


India Football Tour is back to pick the team that will represent India at the Football Fives World Cup 2018, Beijing. IFT 2016 saw Kalina Rangers from Mumbai representing India at the world's biggest stage for amateur football. They were placed in a group that had the likes of Spain, Ireland and Egypt. Despite scoring the fastest goal in F5WC history and draws against footballing giants, Spain & Ireland they fell short on qualifying to the knock-out stages by just 1 point. IFT 2017 edition is a quest to find will India go a step further this time.

It is India’s largest 5-A-Side football tournament for amateurs above the age of 16. The winning teams from the regional qualifiers will compete in the National Finals in Bengaluru. The national champions will get a chance to represent India at the Football Fives World Cup 2018 in Beijing, China.

Former Indian bowling coach  Bapu Krishnarao Venkatesh Prasad  has once again expressed his desires to apply for the vacant position of coach in the Indian cricket team before the 9 July deadline. "I've not applied for the head coach's role yet and might not do so before the deadline.  However, I'm very much keen to contribute to Indian cricket as an assistant coach or a bowling coach. I can work under Ravi Shastri or Virender Sehwag or whoever becomes the head coach and bring in my experiences as an international cricketer and a former coach."  Prasad told Cricbuzz.   Prasad, who has played 33 Tests and 161 ODIs for India, is currently serving as the junior India chief selector and his three-year term expires in September this year.
