The ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2017 has reached its business end and the teams are now vying for a place in the semi finals. Although hosts England, defending champions Australia and South Africa have already booked their spots in the last four but they will primarily play to better their positions on the points table. Meanwhile, the fourth and final spot is still up for grabs as India confront New Zealand in a do-or-die battle at the County Ground, Derby on 15th July(Saturday).

Mithali Raj-led India got their World Cup campaign off to a flyer as they beat England, West Indies, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in their first four games. However, things did not fall into place after that as the Indian eves suffered heavy defeats against South Africa and Australia in their last two matches.

The Indian side will definitely like to work on a few things in their gameplay, be it batting, bowling or fielding, before the big match. India's newest crush, Smriti Mandhana, would look to find back her form as she failed miserably after that brilliant century against West Indies. Veteran big guns Mithali Raj and Jhulan Goswami would look to push their team one last time in what could be their last world cup, if media reports are to be believed. T20 queen Harmanpreet Kaur would also like to send the bowlers on a leather hunt when the team needs her services. However, the Indians must be very wary of skipper Suzie Bates with the bat and Holly Huddlestone with the ball among the host of big names in the White Ferns line-up.

Come Saturday, both the teams will have their task cut out as nothing short of a victory would help either team's cause. The 125 crore people-rich nation will definitely back its 11 women on the field to fire in unison and take a step forward towards glory.
